Board of Governors Scholarship
Created in 1988 as a way for the Lakeland College Board of Governors to recognize academic achievers and student leaders at the college, the Board of Governors Scholarship is available to full-time Lakeland College students completing a minimum of one full academic year and returning into full-time studies in the following year.
- Up to 10 scholarships are available to students displaying academic excellence.
- At the discretion of the Awards Committee up to 5 scholarships are available for leadership and excellence in student athletic and recreational activities, student government or other student organization involvement while maintaining a good academic standing.
If suitable nominations are not received for leadership, the remaining scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence.

- In order to be considered for the Board of Governors Scholarship (for leadership), you must include a nomination from a Lakeland College faculty member or staff member, or classmate. Please have your nominator complete the Board of Governors Scholarship nomination form. Once complete, please upload a copy of the form here.
