Board of Governors Scholarship

Created in 1988 as a way for the Lakeland College Board of Governors to recognize academic achievers and student leaders at the college, the Board of Governors Scholarship is available to full-time Lakeland College students completing a minimum of one full academic year and returning into full-time studies in the following year.

Up to 10 scholarships are available to students displaying academic excellence. At the discretion of the Awards Committee, up to 5 scholarships are available for leadership and excellence in student athletic and recreational activities, student government or other student organization involvement while maintaining a good academic standing. If suitable nominations are not received, the remaining scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence.

  1. In order to be considered for the Board of Governors Scholarship (for leadership), you must include a nomination from a Lakeland College faculty member or staff member, or classmate.
