Indigenous Careers Award

Made available in 2016 by Alberta Innovation & Advanced Education, the Indigenous Careers Award is available to students of Indigenous ancestry (including Status Indian/First Nations, non-status Indian/First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) who are:

• Canadian citizens (or permanent residents of Canada) and Alberta residents.
• Enrolled full-time (minimum 60% course load).
• Displaying satisfactory academic standing.
• Enrolled in a certificate, diploma, applied or bachelor’s degree program. Students enrolled in apprenticeship technical training, integrated training, pre-employment or non-credential programs are not eligible.

Note: Proof of Indigenous ancestry is required.
